KINGSTON, Jamaica:
Jamaica’s s two-time Olympic 200-metre champion Veronica Campbell-Brown has been cleared to compete again, just over eight months after a positive doping test.

The confirmation came from Campbell-Brown’s management team, On Track Management, led by Clyde Bryan.

The Jamaican who won gold at Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, tested positive for a banned diuretic at the Jamaica International Invitational in May.

The disciplinary committee of the Jamaica Administrative Association had recommended a reprimand without any period of ineligibility earlier this year.

However, it was reported that the IAAF had reversed that decision and issued a two-year suspension.

The case was issued to the Court of Arbitration, which then cleared the 31-year-old athlete.

Campbell-Brown was cleared by Jamaican authorities last October.
