JAMAICA MILITARY BAND MARCHES INTO TORONTO AUGUST 15

TORONTO, ON (July 26, 2012) – In celebration of Jamaica's 50th Anniversary of Independence, the Jamaica Military Band (JMB) will perform at two venues on August 15: Nathan Phillips Square and BMO Field. The Consulate General of Jamaica, in partnership with the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), is presenting this special visit to Canada with stops in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.
The Jamaica Military Band is the oldest continuous-service unit in the Jamaica Defence Force with over 80 years in service. Their musicianship, together with their precision and impressive uniforms, captures the pride and spirit of the island.
