On a team, there are no solo acts.  Each person is expected to personally produce as well as help other team members be more productive.  The effective team leader's goal is not to make sure everyone knows s/he's in charge.  As the leader, s/he is generally upfront and takes charge, but if others have better knowledge or skills, s/he is delighted to step back and let them take control.

How willing are you to relinquish power when you are not the expert?  Have you created an environment where your team members can challenge you if you are wrong or have you created a team of "yes men"?
