The Council of Voluntary Social Services is calling for nominations for the CVSS' Hall of Fame & Volunteer Awards 2012, which will be presented to individual volunteers and organizations/companies for their contributions to community development and the achievement of the Vision 2030 and Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
A selection Committee will review the nominations and select the eight (8) awardees.
The awardees will be announced at the CVSS' Hall of Fame & Awards Ceremony on December 4, 2012.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The award will be given to INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS and ORGANIZATIONS/COMPANIES/COMMITTEES OR CLUBS, who have demonstrated experience in community development for at least 3 years.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the award is to recognize and celebrate volunteers' contributions towards achieving the Vision 2030 and MDGs, to showcase the many ways in which volunteers can strengthen the capacities of organizations and impact community development.
The CVSS' Hall of Fame & Volunteer Awards presents an opportunity for both, volunteers and organizations, to bring their volunteering experiences and good practices to the attention of a national audience.
