Press Release ...

The National Democratic Movement is incensed by the decision of the Leader of the Opposition to demand the resignation of all Opposition Senators.

The Movement contends that this request is an assault on the Constitution and runs contrary to the spirit and intent of the Constitution of Jamaica.

A bad precedent has now been set by the six (6) former Senators, who bowed to partisan political pressure. They should be reminded that they swore an oath of allegiance to the country and people and not to their political party.

This again confirms the Movement's position for constitutional reform and complete separation of powers.
