Angella Harvey - still in our hearts

This post was in the 'Draft' folder for over a year! Finally it is being published - and Angella's memory remains strong.

It was a shock to hear that my wonderful friend and colleague Angella Harvey, had passed away. Angella served as the excellent Cultural Specialist for the US Embassy for many years. Her admirers have always remarked on how lucky Jamaica was to have us represented by one so knowledgeable, warm and dynamic.
Angella was the driving force behind the charitable activities of the Jamaica America Friendship Association (JAFA). No detail was too small for her, and I will now treasure her precise instructions for smooth-running benefits and her gift-wrapping session for the organisation’s annual Christmas Treat. We appreciated her laser-like approach to problem solving and her cheerful frankness. We are reeling – how can someone so vibrant be gone so suddenly from our lives? JAFA President Morin Seymour is asking us to remain calm and strong – in memory of Angella Harvey who was the personification of these qualities.
